Nostalgia Vintage Car Museum
Nostalgia Vintage Auto Museum was created as a tribute to our family matriarch, Mary DeRose. As a San Jose teenager during the late 1920s, Mary’s first car was a brand new Graham-Paige sedan. At later family gatherings, Mary spoke proudly and nostalgically of that car. During the 1970s, her son-in-law, Tony Cedolini, located and purchased a similar Graham-Paige and restored the car to its original condition. Other family members, impressed by its superior design and engineering, became interested in purchasing one for themselves. Thus began this family’s interest in and collection of Graham automobiles.
In the 1960s, Mary’s brother-in-law, Al DeRose, acquired a 1925 Flint, two vintage Ford Thunderbirds and a 1956 Lincoln Continental MarkII. The Lincoln was once owned by Hollywood star Doris Day. In the following years, Mary’s sons Nick and Pat also became avid collectors of vintage automobiles. Pat’s individual collection included a 1932 Ford, a 1950 Olds 88, a 1924 Model T, and a modified 1940 Graham Hollywood.
Though the museum’s main focus is Graham-Paiges, one of its gems is a 1934 Packard Limousine that has been used in several family weddings. Also included in the collection is a growing number of Lincoln Continentals, memorabilia, and a restoration facility with projects in progress. A knowledgeable curator is on hand to answer questions and provide a tour of this outstanding collection.
We, the DeRose and Cedolini families, are very proud of our museum and our participation in the Golden State Graham Club. A wide variety of Graham-Paige automobiles is on permanent display for your viewing. Located in the hills south of Hollister, directly along the San Andreas fault-line, the property has the distinction of being a historically recognized landmark. Also located on the site is the DeRose Winery, the oldest existing winery in California (est.1851).
As a non-profit museum, we are open for viewing the first Saturday of each month from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm*, or for private tours with a prior arrangement. A nominal fee is charged to preserve and maintain the collection, This museum is an ideal location for group functions and private parties. You are invited to come visit for the day, tour the museum, and view the breathtaking scenery in this truly beautiful part of California and its history.
